SPACE WEAPONS: OLD INTERNATIONAL SECURITY AGENDA AND STATE OF THE ART TECHNOLOGIES

Abstract

The new international security agenda deals with problems of underdevelopment, poverty, state weakness and environmental degradation, mainly represented organized crime, terrorism, resource wars, migrations, etc. However, a new debate is taking place linked to the agenda of the Cold War, with other states and related to high levels of development and statehood. Is the debate about the militarization of space and the weapons spaceborne. This article examines this issue and the problems arising from it that are leading the world into a new space race and spaceborne weapons, especially between the U.S. and China.
