Abstract

It is no mystery to anyone that society continues its development progress, which has allowed it greater well-being. It is also not unknown that, despite the advances of humanity, problems and conflicts arise that can end in wars. If the phenomenon of war continues, it means that society itself needs to protect itself against possible attacks. However, current conflicts present dynamics very distant from historical threats. Organized armies are joined by organized crime, irregular immigration, armed gangs, cybercrime, drug trafficking, climate change, among some examples of this new environment. Therefore, if the Armed Forces constitute peace insurance for the State, a natural consequence would be to receive the means, human and material, necessary to fulfill the new functions given.
