THE NEW INTERNATIONAL STATUS OF BRAZIL...A CHALLENGE

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to elucidate the international status of Brazil. Concepts such as state-of-the-art technologies, defense, energy and world economy are closely linked to the country’s identity. Therefore, Brazil’s international position is analyzed through different factors that lead to the conclusion that even though in terms of world power Brazil is in the middle, it relates with the higher tier of the world’s power hierarchy.
