THE CHILEAN AIR FORCE, HISTORY AND NATIONAL IDENTITY

Abstract

In the bicentennial anniversary of Chile, arises the need to know the history of men and institutions that have made a capital contribution to achieve the national objectives. Among them, The Chilean Air Force appears as a fundamental institution of the Republic, that has focused its efforts to guarantee the territorial integrity, to contribute to the international projection, to cooperate to deterrence, and support the development and national cohesion, as well as to foster the aerospace interest, being an important actor in a wide array of national signi cance events.
