THE ARGENTINE DEFENSE OF THE 21ST CENTURY: FROM SUBREGIONAL ACTIVISM TO RELATIVE GLOBALISM
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article analyzes the international insertion of Argentina in the strategic-military dimension of International Relations during the 21st century, based on the revision of the proposals made from Kirchnerism and Macrismo for national defense. Starting from a qualitative methodological approach, the idea sustained is the lack of conclusive results to improve the way of being in the world that Argentina has, with respect to international security, both with the Kirchnerist management and its sub-regional activism proposal, and with the Macristas attempts of relative globalism. In this sense, the external - internal theoretical perspective that emphasizes the conditioning of the domestic context, through the lack of a solid political leadership of the Defense that may provide an answer to the structural problems of the sector, becomes central in this case.
