Abstract
The title of the book, History of the Civil-Military Relationship in Chile, does not reflect the content of the it. In fact, José Rodríguez Elizondo analyzes the politico-military relationship, that is, how the Armed Forces have been linked to different governments, from Frei Montalva to Michelle Bachelet Jeria. The author analyzes and reflects in detail the situation before, during and after the Military Regime, focusing on the violation of Human Rights, not analyzing the transformation, modernization and agenda of the post-regime Armed Forces.
