Abstract
In the globalized world, the threat from terrorism is felt much closer each time and has become more visible, thereby affecting the perceptions of the States regarding security. September 11th is referred to as the turning point of this new era. This day has marked the change regarding the perception of terrorism as a threat and regarding the measures countries have adopted to take care of it. The main objective of this article is to investigate the relationship between the subsequent terrorism 11S and the Security Strategies of the United States and the Russian Federation, in order to see how it affects different conceptions of national security. This paper will conduct a comparative analysis of the strategic documents, which will help to identify the elements over time - that is, what is reflected by the cultural strategy of each country- such as the adjustment of the developed security policies in face of the changing strategic environment.
