EDITORIAL

Abstract

There are issues that have taken a relevant position and are at the center of debate in the political, academia and decision-makers world on the inter- national agenda as well as on the domestic one. New approaches to security and the struggle between the world’s largest powers to achieve superiority in the realms of power, such as economic, security, diplomacy, information and global influence, are recurring themes, at the sametime, the proliferation of non-state actors and other issues such as the fresh water -a problem of strategic natural resources - and the effects of climate change, are cross-cutting concerns affecting humanity. In the field of Defense, new ways of combat and the use of increasingly intelligent with fewer side effects weapons, concern scholars of strategic thinking and modern warfare. Due to the importance of this issues we decided to present some of them through the readings of this publication, the second of this year.
