MIGRATION, ILLEGAL INCOME AND BORDER CONTROL IN CHILE’S MACRO NORTH

Abstract
The analysis of population movements that relate to the concepts of border, boundaries and border control is the theoretical framework for this article. In this perspective, Chile’s migration control policies are set out when foreigners request to cross the borders of the macro nor- thern part of the country to settle in the national territory. In addition, it describes the situations that have presented illegal income, through human trafficking and migrant trafficking.
